Margaret Morse PortraitI live in Phoenix, Arizona with my husband Duane and a pack (currently seven) of rescue dogs. Before I quit to become a full-time writer, I worked as an attorney for the Maricopa County Public Defender’s, handling cases in adult and juvenile court. My favorite job before that was teaching freshman English at the University of Arizona.

My writing genres include mystery, suspense, and urban fantasy. Six of my short stories have been published, two in Arizona Attorney and four in Sisters in Crime anthologies sponsored by the Desert Sleuths Chapter.

I am thrilled to have a novel, Murder Casts Its Spell, coming out from Gemma Halliday Publishing on February 9, 2016. This paranormal mystery features attorney Petra Rakowitz, who turns into a witch during her first murder case.
